Crispy Fried Chickpeas with Garlic and Herbs Recipe
Crispy Fried Chickpeas with Garlic and Herbs Recipe
I think these Crispy Fried Chickpeas will be loved by everyone; vegetarians, people looking for something healthy, kids, husbands, yourself. They are crispy. They are tasty. They are garlicky. As a snack, as a side dish, as an addition to a salad they are ready in no time, have only a few ingredients and just try and stop at one.
Warning: they do pop around a bit in the frypan, like the M & M’s in the ad they try and escape. Maybe dry them in some paper towel a bit first. I only gave them a quick drain but the moisture from the chickpeas and the oil made them a little feisty!
Ingredients
1 can of chickpeas
2 tsp olive oil
1 tbsp. minced garlic
sea salt & cracked black pepper
chopped chives, parsley, basil etc.
Rinse and drain a can of chickpeas.
Heat up a medium fry pan over medium heat and add the olive oil and chickpeas. Cook, tossing occasionally, add the garlic, season with salt and pepper.
Chuck in a handful of your favourite herbs and cook for a minute or two longer. Continue to cook until golden and crispy.
Serve.
