Is This the Biggest (and Funniest) Peppa Pig Cake Decoration Fail EVER?
Layla-Valentina Moroney, 2, is a big Peppa Pig fan – so her mum had an idea for a birthday surprise for her little girl.
Karen Moroney, from Limerick in Ireland requested a Peppa Pig cake from her local bakery and supplied them with an image on a USB stick for them to use for the printed topper.
Unfortunately, this is where things apparently got a little confusing for the bakery staff.
Maybe they had a work experience kid on that day, or maybe one of their staff members had a massive brain fart.
Either way, this happened:
“They asked me to bring in the image I wanted on the cake on a memory stick and they would scan it on to the cake”, Karen explained.
“So I did. The Peppa Pig picture was the only file on the USB”.
Instead of Peppa, the shop had put a photo of the USB stick on the cake.
Thankfully, they were able to rectify the mistake by hastily icing over the USB stick and popping a printed-out photo of Peppa Pig on top. They even gave the cake to the bemused mum for free.
“The cake tasted fab and we all had a laugh in the end . . . and we got the price of the cake back!”
It’s not the first time the bakery fudged Layla’s birthday cake order, either!
Karen ordered a cake for her daughter’s first birthday but a mix-up at the bakery meant it was never made.
“We had to come back two hours later for her first birthday cake”, Karen said.
“The cakes are very nice, that’s why we went back again. Hopefully, there will be no more drama!”
Sounds like they might be third-time lucky!
