Funny Dad Tells His Kids a Story in the EXACT Same Way That All Children Do

As much as we love and adore them, our children have a very *ahem* unique way of relating a story.

There’s the stuttering start, the train-of-thought run-on sentences and random factoids that aren’t of interest to anyone. And that’s before we get to the actual topic of the conversation and its questionable substance. Sometimes they even walk away in the middle of their story like we’re not invested.

Funnily enough, all children seem to have this exact same way of telling a story at some stage in their lives. And we parents have all heard it dozens of times.

So when funny dad Dakota Whalen, posting on TikTok as crazykooter217, uploaded a clip of him telling his daughters a story in the same way that they do, parents everywhere screamed with laughter and related hard.

“Well, well, well, how the turn tables”, Dakota captioned his clip, quoting a well-known line from The Office.

I was thinking of transcribing what this eloquent gentleman was saying as part of this article but I don’t think I have a chance of nailing it down quite as well as he did.

Needless to say, his clip was watched over thirteen million times and received nearly thirty thousand comments.

Speaking of the astonished look on his daughter’s face, one commenter wrote: “She’s so concerned like “Did he just hit a glitch…?””

“I’m gonna do this to my 5yr old,” added another.

We think that his impersonation of a child telling a story is absolutely perfect. If we were to give him any criticism at all, it would only be that his blue rock story is about twenty minutes too short!
