Mum Gets Revenge as Boyfriend Suggests She ‘Treat’ Herself by Going to Do a Food Shop
A bloke in the UK has suggested to his partner and mother of his three children to ‘treat herself’ and have a break, giving her his credit card and telling her to spend some time to herself in the supermarket doing a family grocery shop.
Honestly, if we didn’t laugh we’d cry, right?
The mum, named Georgina, said that her boyfriend often leaves her at home with their children whenever there’s a football match on that he wants to watch, and he usually tells her he’ll be “back soon” but instead stays out with his mates until the early hours of the morning.
Georgina explained on a TikTok video that she was left outraged after her boyfriend’s most recent night out. Her boyfriend, keen to make it up to his partner, suggested that she could take his card and have some “time to herself” at the supermarket, apparently his idea of a lovely relaxing break for his partner.
In her video, Georgina explained: “I’ve had it up to here with my boyfriend.
“For some reason, he seems to think that even though we have three kids together, it’s okay to be like ‘Oh, the football’s on, I’m going out babe. I’ll be back soon!’ and then he just doesn’t come back.
“He did this last night even though he knows that I hate it, so naturally this morning I was a little bit pissed off. So he said to me, ‘Babe why don’t you take my card and you can go to the supermarket and do a food shop on your own? Have some time to yourself.’ ”

Instead of raging internally and angrily filling the shopping trolley with too much chocolate like I probably would, our heroine said “screw that” and bought herself a new swimsuit and headed to the day spa, purchasing a lovely looking fruity cocktail and actually enjoyed some time to herself.
Georgina refused to tell her partner where she’d gone, and only texted him telling him she’ll be “back soon” to imitate the messages she often receives from him.
“He thinks I’m still at the supermarket. He’s already called me twice and I’ve just ignored him. I’m just going to message him with what he messages me usually. Things like, ‘back soon’ and ‘won’t be long’.
“I’m just not going to tell him where I am.”
Later, Georgina shared a follow-up video in which she insisted that her relationship with her boyfriend is fine and she was happy and that her partner now fully understands why she had taken herself to the spa instead of the supermarket.

Good on her, honestly.
